In general, the instructions and guidelines given by your degree programme are valid for placements done abroad too.

Erasmus+ Internship/work experience is an overall term for all the internships/work experience that are financed with Erasmus+ Grants. The recent graduate internship needs to be accepted before graduation and the completion of the internship/work experience needs to be within 12 months from the graduation. A LUT student is entitled to apply for an Erasmus internship/work experience grant only if the internship is included in the student's LUT degree. Therefore, international internships/work experience need to be approved by the degree programme before the start of the internship/work experience. International Services will verify the progress of your studies and contact the internship/work experience coordinator of the degree programme for pre-decision of the internship´s suitability for the degree. However, actual credit transfer is made according to the degree programme's instructions after the internship/work experience has been completed.

Please check the placement criteria and internship/work experience coordinator of your faculty from eLUT -pages. Further guidance on insurances and grants available from Preparations for studies and placement abroad -pages.
