LUT University transfers to electronic degree certificates from 1 January 2024

LUT University transfers to electronic degree certificates from 1 January 2024. It is much more difficult to forge an electronic degree certificate than a printed certificate. The renewal increases the reliability of the degree certificate, speeds up the receiving of the certificate, and makes it easier to store.

The electronic degree certificate is an official original certificate with an electronic signature of the rector or vice rector. You will download the electronic certificate from the Suomi.fi service. The electronic degree certificate is the only official certificate. The authenticity of the certificate can be verified using the identification services of the Digital and Population Data Services Agency. Paper copy of electronic certificate is not an official degree certificate.
