Erasmus+ mobility programme

Our most popular and biggest exchange programme is Erasmus+. Erasmus+ is the European Union’s mobility and cooperation programme for higher education institutions for the period 2021–2027. The programme supports international cooperation of higher education institutions and the mobility of students, teachers and other staff. In addition, the programme promotes the internationalisation and quality of higher education. The priorities of the programme are inclusion and diversity, digitalisation, environmental awareness and mitigation of climate change, and participation in society.

Erasmus + supports students' physical and blended study abroad periods, as well as blended intensive courses in European programme countries and, to a limited extent, in partner countries around the world. Study exchanges between LUT and foreign partner institutions are based on agreements between the institutions. For an international internship, an agreement is always made between student and the internship organisation.

All LUT degree students, regardless of their nationality, can go abroad to complete a part of their studies or a practical training through Erasmus+ programme. Students may get an Erasmus+ grant to cover part of the expenses of the exchange. Students may complete more than one student exchange or traineeship abroad during their studies. The maximum total duration of a student’s Erasmus+ mobility periods is 12 months during one degree cycle.
