Application schedule and instructions for exchange studies
Congratulations, you are about to Go Global! Becoming an exchange student is simply the best way to improve your language skills and intercultural competence, not to mention making international friends! You will also be able to take courses your home university doesn't offer.
The next application periods are in 19.–29.1.2026 and 20.4.–4.5.2026
Application rounds are held twice a year, both during the spring semester. In Autumn semester there are no application rounds.
- in January, you can apply for the 2026 autumn and 2027 spring semesters, to any LUT partner university.
- in April-May's supplementary application round, there will be a limited selection of universities left over from the previous application period. Only 2027 spring exchanges in Europe will be available. It is possible to apply to universities where we still have places left after the January application round. The available places can be seen on our portal, which is updated before the first day of each application round.
- Application to Double Degrees only once a year: in January, for the next academic year
Most students go on exchange for a single semester. For the European Erasmus+ destinations, it's also possible to apply for the full academic year (if you apply in the January application round).
Read eLUT exchange study pages carefully, especially all of this page. Thank you! ☺ If you still feel uncertain, see also the pages about Erasmus+ special needs and inclusion grants – and check out our tips for sustainability and green travel!
The application form can be found within the drop-down menus below during the application period.
Application info presentation and helpdesk schedule
