Transfer of a degree programme

At LUT university, it is possible to transfer from one degree programme to another within technology degree programmes. Only graduates with a bachelor's degree in technology from LUT University can apply for a transfer. In addition, students must meet certain conditions specific to the degree programme and submit an application with the required documents. 

Instructions on this website concern students who have graduated from English-language bachelor programmes. Excluded degree programmes

Some degree programmes are only accessible through the regular admission or internal application procedure.

Programme descriptions and locations

See the programme description and form of study (blended learning, contact teaching) on the programme website, and study guide at eLUT. Please note that some programmes take place in a different location from where you are currently studying - either on the campuses in Lappeenranta or Lahti, or at regional units in Kouvola or Mikkeli.

Admission criteria

Applying

You can apply after graduating with a bachelor's degree in technology from LUT.

Application form and deadline

There is an ongoing application period and application is processed within one month of submission excluding July and August. 

Applying is done via Webropol. You cannot save the application as a draft so be prepared to fill out the information and upload the attachments all at once.

Required documents

You need to upload your diploma (degree certificate) and final transcript of records from your bachelor's degree to the application. Documents must be in PDF format, and multiple pages combined into a single document. If you have completed courses since graduation, take your most recent transcript of records from the Sisu system and upload it to the application. 

Admission result

You will get the result by email within one month of submission excluding July and August. If you are admitted to a new degree programme, you must confirm the transfer by email. Only then will the information be updated in the Sisu system.

When you accept a place in a new degree programme, you lose your right to study in the previous programme at the end of the previous semester. The period of study will be determined by the previous study right.
