Global Management of Innovation and Technology (Double Degree, Polimi Italy)

A double degree collaboration agreement with Politecnico di Milano (Italy) Management Engineering programme will start in 2026. Students are advised to start and conduct their studies based on the GMIT study plan even if interested in applying to double degree programme.

Degree structure and studies

1 year at LUT

  • Core studies 30 ECTS
  • Selective 18 ECTS
  • Minor min 12 ECTS

1,5 years in POLIMI

  • Major studies 25 ECTS –select one:
    • Analytics for business
    • Circular economy
    • Digital business innovation
    • Energy management
    • Entrepreneurship
    • Industry 4.0
    • Industrial Management
    • Sustainability & Social impact
    • Complex project business
  • Elective studies from group suggested for the major 10 ETCS
  • Free - 15 ETCS

(Note – min 12 ETCS of technical studies required)

  • Thesis – jointly supervised. (Italy or Finland)
    • Project work 15 ETCS
    • Final Thesis deliverable 15 ETCS

Admission

Eligible students apply to this programme during the first year of master’s studies. The Application period is once a year in January. Selections to the programme will be made in April. Read more about the double degree application process.
