When you use HAKA login and log in through another university, you are not required to use LUT/LAB Universities MFA. However, you can get MFA verification request from your school's login service, if your school has one.

You cannot activate several devices in parallel for the same account as a means of identification in Duo. For example, if you have both a LAB student account and a staff account, you can activate both accounts in the same Duo Mobile app. However, you will not be able to activate more than one mobile device at a time to use your LAB student account in Duo.

Request a new activation email, install Duo on your new phone, and activate Duo Mobile with a new activation email.

Yes, Duo works in the same way in Finland as abroad, with any phone subscription in use. You can use Duo with both WiFi and mobile data, or if you don't have them, you can use the Passcode feature. 

Yes, Duo Mobile allows you to activate and use parallel accounts.

No, you can only use the Duo Mobile app for MFA authentication in LUT and LAB services.

This means that Duo Mobile is not activated.

• Yes, you will need it to verify your login.
• If you have forgotten the device at home, you will need to pick it up or contact the Student IT Helpdesk.
• If your device is lost or stolen, report it to the Student IT Helpdesk to deactivate the device from Duo.

• If your device's operating system is too old, try updating it to the latest.
• If you have another compatible mobile device, such as a tablet, try using it.
• If none of these are possible, please contact the Student IT Helpdesk.

Unlock Duo Mobile and try to sign in again. Try to restart the Duo Mobile app.

• Decline the verification and change your password immediately!
• If you suspect that your account has been used without permission, report it to the Student IT Helpdesk.

If it's your own device, you can set a webpage as trusted. When you get a "Do you trust this browser" message, respond "Yes, I trust the browser". You will need to renew the verification at certain intervals.

• If you are unable to set the page as trusted, you should allow third-party cookies.
