LUT would like to offer its warmest congratulations to graduates by arranging a graduation ceremony once a month (excl. July) for students who have completed their master’s or doctoral degree.

Please note that the graduation ceremony day may not necessarily be the same as the actual graduation day. The graduation day is the official date when you graduate, whereas the ceremony day can be a different day when we celebrate your graduation.

Students who graduate in July may take part in the ceremony held in August. Students who graduate on the last day of December are invited to attend the ceremony in January.

You are warmly invited to celebrate your graduation. Note that you can invite max three guests to the ceremony.

Ceremonies are held in the Viipuri Hall of Lappeenranta Campus.

Doors will close exactly at 2 pm, so please be on time. Graduates are reserved a seat marked with a name tag in alphabetical order by last name and a folder where they can print their degree certificate. The first row is reserved for graduates with a doctorate, graduates with a master’s degree in technology are the next in order, followed by graduates with a master’s degree in economics and business administration and then graduates with a master's degree in social sciences. Please be considerate of other participants and use fragrances in moderation.

The Academic Engineers and Architects in Finland TEK congratulates the graduates with a glass of sparkling wine and LUT with a rose.

Dress code: semi-formal daytime attire appropriate for graduation ceremonies, no cap.
