J. Hyneman Center (JHC)

The J. Hyneman Center (JHC) is a well-equipped prototyping laboratory for students at LUT University and LAB University of Applied Sciences on LUT's Lappeenranta campus. JHC conducts many course assignments and is also freely available to LUT Universities community. There is always at least one assistant on site who can advise, for example, on the use of equipment.

A prerequisite for working at JHC is passing an orientation exam, which ensures that everyone works safely according to the same rules and knows where things are located. The orientation exam in Moodle can be taken at any time and once passed, you will be granted access with your personal magnetic key to the JHC for one academic year.

To come to work for JHC, follow these steps:

  1. Find a Moodle course called J. Hyneman Center.
  2. Check the JHC guidelines on the Moodle website and take the Orientation exam found on its front page.
  3. Welcome to work on JHC's premises!
