The aim of the LUT and LAB language courses is to enhance the professional communication skills that are a prerequisite for successful interaction and internationalization not only to our students but also to working life in general.

Interaction, negotiations and meetings, presentations, PR and customer service, guidance and training, acquisition of information and professional writing are taught on the professional language courses. We offer online, contact and blended learning courses with versatile study materials and methods.

Some language courses are included in your degree programme as compulsory courses. They are in your study plan.

In addition, you have a chance to choose elective courses of various world languages at various proficiency levels. Please, start your studies from the level you have already reached. We teach all English and Chinese courses in English. Regardless what Sisu and study guides let you know, most of the German, Russian, French and Spanish courses are taught in English (and Finnish). Japanese is taught only in Finnish.
