Registration to exams and mid-term exams

Students register for examinations (final exams, mid-terms and Language Centre exams) in Sisu, either through PSP or TIMING TEMPLATE in PSP.

You must sign up separately for final examinations and mid-terms. Exam dates are available on the exam schedule. Teachers provide instructions for registering for Exam and Moodle examinations.

Registration schedules

Make sure to sign up for exams on time. After the registration deadline, you may only participate in the exam if there are spaces left. A fee of 40 euros is charged for late registration.

Exam Location

If teaching is organized on several locations, and paper exam is offered in several locations, the student must attend the exam, on the locality of the teaching program.

If you get acutely ill, after the date on removing the registration is over, and you want no to use one of tree attempts, please send the certificate from a nurse/doctor by protected email to opinto@lut.fi. This can be done also after the exam.

Three exam attempts

You can take an exam three times during a study period. This applies to all exams, irrespective of the way they are arranged.

If you fail to pass the exam on the third attempt, (attempts of exams is not turned no null by enrolling to a new years version of the course) you may apply for another retake from the teacher via a form for applying for an additional retake

Raising approved grades

You have the right to try to raise your grade for the exam once during the three general exam days held during the study period, if it is possible to raise the grade for the course as a whole through the exam. Courses completed at LUT cannot be raised by credits transferred from prior studies.

The limit of three exam attempts pertains to courses arranged from 2021–2022 onwards. Mid-term exam results cannot be raised.
