The Kouvola unit is located in the Kohoa Synergy Centre, right in the city centre at Kauppalankatu 13.

The main doors of the building are open Mon - Fri 8:00 - 16:00, at other times you can enter with your own personal access code through the door next to the main entrance on Kauppalankatu, which has a code lock.

Membership of the University Sports Service for the autumn semester for students

The membership includes the use of the swimming pools and the gyms of the City of Kouvola. In order to enter the swimming pool or the gym, you must present proof of student status and a valid membership of the MOVEO Kouvola Regional Unit. Please state your name and show your student card at the cash desk. Please note that under this agreement you can only use the gyms located in the same building as the swimming pools.

Participation in Tempo's group exercise classes is subject to Tempo's instructions. To participate in the classes, you must show proof of student status and a valid membership of the MOVEO Kouvola regional unit. Participation in classes without MOVEO or Tempo membership entitles the LUT University to charge a sports membership fee and a 50€ processing fee to the student.

Please note that the service is only available to students of LUT University and LAB University of Applied Sciences! We will not refund the fee even if you are not eligible to purchase the product.

Students of the Kouvola Regional Unit of LUT University who have purchased a membership of the school sports service MOVEO are entitled to participate in group exercise classes organized by Tempo.

Choose the class you are going to. The timetables for the physical education classes are attached as pdf files. When you arrive at the class, please let the instructor know your school and your name.

Tempo's weekly calendar has about 25 different classes for adults in different parts of Kouvola. Some of the classes are dance classes, some are muscle-building and some are restorative and relaxing. The classes include yoga, kettlebell, Pilates and Zumba, so there's sure to be a class for everyone. Lavis, based on Finnish lava dance culture, has been a fun experience for many international students. There's no need to sign up for classes in advance, so it's easy to join in. Taking part in Tempo's classes is also a great way to make new friends and get to know the city you are studying in.

MOVEO Kouvola members have a gym session reserved at the Kouvola Lyseo Sports Hall (in Finnish "Lyseon liikuntahalli") gym on Tuesdays at 18.00-20.00.
