The evaluation process for master’s theses and upload to LUTPub starting August 1, 2026

Master’s theses will be uploaded to LUTPub starting August 1, after the dean has confirmed your thesis grade based on the examiners’ assessment. You will be notified of the assessment after the dean’s approval and will also be informed that your thesis is ready for upload to LUTPub. Instructions for a student when your master’s thesis is completed

  1. Agree on a schedule for the evaluation with your examiners.
  2. Submit your thesis and supporting documents 
    • Submit the completed, final version of your thesis to the examiners.
    • Send the following documents to lut.graduation@lut.fi
      • Form 1B (thesis evaluation request) 
      • Abstract (attached to the form)
  3. Thesis assessment and upload to LUTPub
    • You will receive via email:
      • a copy of the assessment of your thesis, and
      • notification that your thesis must be uploaded to LUTPub
    • You will also receive information regarding graduation-related matters.
