Lahti Exam space moves in August 2026
The Lahti Exam space (C212) will move to a larger space between 3 and 16 August. Due to the move, the space will be closed and it will not be possible to take exams during this period. The new space is A208.
A208: The exam space doors are open from 8:45 to 16:15. When the main doors or the Exam space door are not open, you will need a personal access card or code to enter the Exam space. No access card or code is required when exiting the Exam space or the campus. A100 (individual Exam space): The door to the Exam space is open. When the main doors are closed, access to the campus is only possible with a personal access card or code. No access card or code is required when exiting the campus.
Use your personal (LUT/LAB) access card if you have one (Note! Lappeenranta access card is not valid), otherwise you can request a personal access code from https://exam-access.lut.fi/ (see detailed instructions below). During opening hours, entrance at the main doors and after that through the red doors by the main doors. Please check the opening hours of the main doors: Lahti campus.

After booking an Exam visit-service to the Lahti campus, please order the access code from https://exam-access.lut.fi/. You can find more detailed ordering instructions via the link.
You will receive the code by email and, if you wish, also as a text message to your phone. If necessary, please also check your junk email folder. Do not share the code with others.
If you have several exams on the same day at the same campus, you can order a single access code that is valid for the whole day.

Access: Entrance to the building from the main doors. The door to the Exam space is open on weekdays from 8:45 to 16:15. Outside these hours, access is only possible with a personal access card or code. Please check the opening hours of the main doors: Lahti campus.

When the main door is locked, enter with your access card or code through the red doors by the mains doors.

Operating in the Exam space
Please note that examinations call for absolute silence. Even if your exam time has not started yet, someone else’s exam may be in progress. Remember that exiting and re‐entering the Exam space in the middle of an exam is not allowed. Please avoid using strong fragrances in the Exam space.
Take your ID with you to verify your identity. Make sure that you remember the password of your user account and the number of the computer in your Exam reservation.
Act accordingly:
Leave you overcoat and other belongings to the lockers in the Exam space. You can also leave your overcoat on the coat rack outside the Exam space.
Storing with your own responsibility.
Take only the locker key with you to the exam workstation. You may also bring a transparent water bottle without label.
You are not allowed to use calculators, programmable calculators, any electronic devices, dictionaries, literature or any other material in the exam.
Snacks, water bottle, scrap paper or pens/pencils are not allowed either.
Find the right computer. The information is in the confirmation email you received after booking the time slot. The numbers are clearly marked on the workstations.
e.g. the notion EXAM050 in email message refers to computer number 50 in the Exam space.
Leave the locker key on the table of the workstation where you are taking the exam.
There can be no items other than the locker key and the water bottle on the table during the exam.
Start the exam.
Exams start at hundred hours and finish at five to.
Be on time, but not too early, to cause as little interruption as possible.
Exam time starts to run from the start of your booking time.

General information about the individual Exam space:
The individual Exam space is intended for students who have an approved decision for special needs or a justified reason for a separate exam space. Consult the study psychologist (LUT) or the pedagogical specialist (LAB) when necessary. Do not reserve the individual exam space without a valid reason.
When making a reservation, you can select the individual Exam space A100 (computer group Lahti – individual space).
Exam visitors (other than LUT/LAB students) must request reasonable accommodations for taking the exam from their home university no later than 10 working days before the exam time.
Additional information: The space has a LAB exam computer.
