Publicity and confidentiality of Master's thesis

The thesis is a public document according to the Act on the Openness of Government Activities. The primary examiner sees to it that the commissioner of the thesis is aware of the publicity requirements from the very beginning of the discussions. As a rule, theses are published in the university's publication repository, LUTPub.The abstract is always public.

Neither the thesis report nor its annexes can contain any confidential content. The student writing the thesis and the thesis commissioner are responsible for ensuring that there is no confidential material in the thesis. The background material of the thesis may contain confidential contents. The background material is not public.
