This is a survey for Engineering Project Work, and the aim is to collect feedback from LUT students to help us narrow down the focus of our product's design and functions.

Our topic is a laptop stand that we want to have some features, by which it can stand out from the general ones. We have some ideas already, but we want to know which is the most useful or needed, and maybe see some more interesting ideas from you. For this we will also ask for some physical properties of your laptop, for example general dimensions and weight, placement of ports and air intakes. If you give us the manufacturer and model number we can look it up from the manufacturers site.

This survey takes 2-3 minutes to complete.

Dear potential participant,

My name is YUAN Yi, and I am a doctoral researcher at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Helsinki, Finland. With the kind approval of your institution’s Student Registrar Office/Research Service Office,  I am pleased to invite you to participate in my doctoral research project. 

The topic of my research is: Being and becoming in liminality: An examination of Chinese International students’ mobility intentions after graduation from Finnish universities. 

Your participation is entirely voluntary and comprises two parts:

• Part 1: An online survey lasting approximately 10 minutes.
• Part 2: A follow-up in-depth interview (conducted either in person or via Zoom), which will take approximately 60-90 minutes. 

You are welcome to take part in only the survey, or in both components.  As a token of appreciation, participants who complete both parts (online survey and interview) will receive a small value prize worth 10 euros.

This study has been approved by University of Helsinki Ethical Review Board in Humanities and Social and Behavioural Sciences.
