In Lappeenranta, you need an access key to enter the Exam space. You can borrow the key during office hours on weekdays at the information desk in the main lobby of LUT University or from student customer service (see opening hours). When making a reservation, note the opening hours of the information desk/student customer service, so that you have time to get the access key before the exam. If you are unable to pick up Exam key during office hours, you can ask for a Mobile Key to access the Exam space by sending email to tilapalvelut.lappeenranta@lut.fi .
NOTE!
Between June 22 and July 31, the main lobby info desk is open on weekdays from 8:00 to 15:00 and the university porters can be reached by phone at 8:00 to 15:45.
After the exam, return the access key to the service point where you borrowed the key. Outside of opening hours, you can return the key borrowed from the info desk to the mailbox at the info point, and the key borrowed from the student customer service to the mailbox next to the customer service door.

Operating in the Exam space
Please note that examinations call for absolute silence. Even if your exam time has not started yet, someone else’s exam may be in progress. Remember that exiting and re‐entering the Exam space in the middle of an exam is not allowed. Please avoid using strong fragrances in the Exam space.
If you haven’t used your personal magnetic key for a while, check that it is still in use by contacting the university portiers. You can access the Exam space with a Mobile Key on your phone.
Take your ID with you to verify your identity. Make sure that you remember the password of your user account and the number of the computer in your Exam reservation.
Act accordingly:
Leave you overcoat and other belongings to the lockers outside the Exam space.
Storing with your own responsibility.
Take only the locker key and the magnetic key with you in the Exam space. You may also bring a transparent water bottle without label. If you are using Mobile Key, you will leave your phone in a small locker after entering through the door.
You are not allowed to use calculators, programmable calculators, any electronic devices, dictionaries, literature or any other material in the exam.
Snacks, scrap paper or pens/pencils are not allowed either.
Open the door to the Exam space with your personal magnetic key.
The magnetic key reader is on the left before the Exam hall door.
Use your personal magnetic key even if someone else opens the door. The information from the entrance and exit logs is used with the information from the Exam system and video surveillance to secure your identification. If you are using Mobile Key, it is mandatory to turn the phone off during the exam.
Find the computer you have booked. The information is in the confirmation email you received after booking the time slot. The numbers are clearly marked on the workstations. You can also see the computer numbers in the image below.
e.g. the notion EXAM007 in email message refers to computer number 7 in the Exam space.
Leave the locker key in the hook on the wall of the workstation where you are taking the exam.
There can be no items other than the water bottle on the table during the exam – not even the key.
Start the exam.
Exams start at hundred hours and finish at five to.
Be on time, but not too early, to cause as little interruption as possible.
Examination time starts to run from the start of your booking time.

When making a reservation, you can select the individual Exam space 1127 (computer group Lappeenranta – individual space).
Exam visitors (other than LUT/LAB students) must request reasonable accommodations for taking the exam from their home university no later than 10 working days before the exam time.
Additional information: The space has a LUT exam computer.
