Selecting a master’s degree programme in technology in connection with graduation from a bachelor’s programme

After the completion of bachelor’s degree in technology, a student with the right to study at LUT can enrol for a master’s degree programme in technology as explained below.

Enrolment is carried out with the application for the bachelor’s degree certificate.

Graduates from a bachelor’s degree programme in technology may continue their studies in their own study programme in the following master’s programmes without a separate student selection process:

Energy technology

Chemical Engineering

Mechanical engineering

Computational Engineering

Electrical engineering

MSc in Electrical Engineering
Electric Transportation Systems, Lahti
Renewable Power-to-X Economy
Sähkötekniikan DIODI
- Students from the Finnish-language Bachelor's program in Electrical Engineering can directly proceed to the DIODI Master's program. Students from the English-language Electrical Engineering double degree program and the TES program (Technology and Engineering Science) who have specialized in electrical engineering can apply to the DIODI Master's program by submitting an application.

Software Engineering

At LUT, graduates from the bachelor’s programme in software engineering may continue their studies in the following master’s programmes without a separate student selection process:

Master's Programme in Software Engineering and Digital Transformation
Master's Programme in Software Product Management and Business
Master´s Programme in Digital Systems and Service Development (starting in academic year 23-24)
Master's Programme in Business Analytics (master’s degree programme in computational engineering and analytics, not available for BSc SSE students of Lahti)

Industrial Engineering and Management

Environmental technology
