Copies are only delivered to the graduate/student. Copies are not delivered to a third party even with permission from the student/graduate.
Please note that the download link for the digital certificate can only be sent to a graduate who has received digital certificate. If you graduated before 1 February 2024, you will not be able to order an electronic download link from your certificate.

Authorised copy of LUT’s degree certificate

The digital certificate is the student’s official degree certificate. When printed on paper, the copy of electronic certificate is not an official document.

An electronic certificate is valid in most countries. Before placing your order, please check whether a paper copy is necessary. We provide certified copies for individual needs - preferably the student provides an electronic certificate. A certified copy is a black and white document printed on copy paper from an electronic certificate, signed and stamped by the study secretary, which can be mailed or scanned to the subscriber's email address. If a copy is required for apostille purposes, it must be clearly mentioned in the additional information field when placing the order. Please note that processing copies ordered for apostille purposes takes longer than usual. The order is placed via LUTShop. 
If you are informed that an electronic certificate is not valid, please contact LUT.graduation@lut.fi. Your situation will be assessed and, if necessary, you will be advised on how to proceed.

There will be a summer break in order deliveries in July.

Authorised English translation of LUT’s degree certificate

If you graduated from a programme taught in Finnish on 27 November 2015 – 31 January 2024, you can also request an authorised English translation of your degree certificate from LUTShop. A fee of 15 € is charged per copy.

LUT’s staff is entitled to a maximum of three free copies in English, which can be requested via the above-mentioned email.

LUT does not have its own translation service and therefore students who need an authorised translation in a language other than English must order the translation from a translation agency or an authorised translator.

Delivery times

The delivery times for certificates is no less than 10 working days. Copies can be picked up at the Student Services Customer Service desk on the Lappeeranta campus or sent to you by post/email.
