If you have not yet paid the tuition fee for the academic year 2026–2027 but wish to continue your studies, please pay at least the Autumn semester fee and contact the scholarship team for further guidance.

Price list starting 2026

Updated tuition fee and scholarship amounts will take effect for new students starting autumn 2026 and later

Bachelor’s degree students:
- 12 000 € per year
- Possibility to a 3 000€ scholarship for continuing students.
Master's degree students:
- 15 000 € per year
- Possibility to a 5 000€ scholarship for continuing students.
Double Degree Bachelor's students:
- 12 000 € per year
Double Degree Master's students:
- 15 000 € per year

Both new bachelor’s and master’s students have an option for early bird price. Bachelor Double degree programs, no early bird discounts are available.

Studies in higher education are free for students with a nationality of a country within the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland. Citizens of the non-EU/EEA countries (excluding Switzerland) are required to pay the LUT tuition fee.

At LUT University the amount of Tuition fees and available scholarships always depend of the year of your intake year. Possible changes in Tuition fees only affect new intake groups. If you are uncertain about your yearly fee, kindly contact LUT.scholarships@lut.fi

Tuition fees

As of 1st August 2026, base price for the tuition fee for all students from non-EU/EEA countries is:

Master’s tuition fee is 15 000 €/year.

Double Degree Master’s tuition fee is 15 000 €/year.

Bachelor’s tuition fee is 12 000 €/year.

Double Degree Bachelor’s tuition fee is 12 000 €/year.

Students who have started their studies earlier the tuition fee is:

Master’s tuition fee is 13 500 €/year.

Double Degree Master’s tuition fee is 13 500 €/year.

Bachelor’s tuition fee is 9500 €/year.

Double Degree Bachelor’s tuition fee is 9000 €/year.

Early Bird discount (for the first academic year only)

The first-year tuition fee is to be paid following the deadlines given by LUT admission team. Neglecting the deadline will lead to closing of your study right as well as cancellation of your possible enrollment.

If the option for early bird discount is offered on your letter of acceptance, it is only valid for three weeks after the admission letter has been sent.

Early bird tuition fees are:

Bachelor’s degree programmes EUR 10 000

Master’s degree programmes EUR 10 000

NOTE: Bachelor Double degree programs, no early bird discounts available. The payment amount is always EUR 12 000.

Tuition fee payments due dates (for continuing students)

Starting from 2026 the tuition fee payment deadline is May 31st. In 2026, LUT University is extending the due date for continuing students to pay their tuition fees until June 17, 2026. The tuition fee must be paid in full before you may enroll as attending for the next academic year.

The possibility for a next year tuition fee scholarship is offered if at least 60 ECTS* is completed during the previous academic year. You must follow your own credits from Sisu and make the tuition fee payment accordingly. The scholarship credits are checked in August after the summer break. If graduation during the Autumn semester is certain, you can pay for Autumn semester only.

*NOTE! If only attending ONE semester during one academic year (1.8.-31.7.) the credit requirement for the next year's scholarship is 30 ECTS instead of 60 ECTS. The credits are always checked in August after each academic year.
