Work experience- Sisu

There are two different types of work experiences: compulsory work experience and the part that exceeds the required compulsory work experience. In Sisu work experience is applied as inclusion.

Compulsory work experience is a course in the degree structure and the required credits differ between the degree programmes. These are handled just like any other course except that the credits must be applied according to the instructions given by the degree programme.

If the work experience is completed abroad switch the course in your personal plan to the one having U in the end of the code, that one is for work experience abroad.

The work experience exceeding the minimum credits can be placed to for example alternative or elective studies. Maximum credits vary in different degree programmes. For this a study draft is created to the personal study plan and the credits applied simultaneously with delivering the required application documents to the work experience supervisor according to the instructions given by the degree programme.

Compulsory work experience

Compulsory work experience is already in the degree structure as a course and is seen in the personal plan just like any other course.

Note! In case the work experience is completed abroad the you should switch a course with a code ending with U to the personal plan so that the attainment is registered correctly.

Work experience exceeding the compulsory credits

In case the total credits exceed compulsory credits in the degree structure and the exceeding credits are applied to be included in the elective studies create a study draft to the personal study plan when delivering the application form and the attachments.
