Scholarship for Master's DD-studies

This information applies to Double Degree students that are nominated to LUT by LUT partners.

As an EU/EEA citizen (Swiss citizens excluded) you are required to pay a tuition fee. You can apply for a tuition fee scholarship on the same application form when applying to Double Degree studies. For LUT University Double degree Master students, the maximum scholarship period is 1,5 years. The scholarships are awarded in the order of the highest points scored in the evaluation process.

The scholarships are considered a discount on the tuition fee and are NOT paid to the student themselves (excluding the living expenses portion of the full scholarship).

Master's Double Degree scholarships

Intake 2025 or earlier

The regular fee for the Master's Double Degree studies is 13 500 EUR per academic year. The admitted students (nominated by LUT partners) can be offered the following scholarships:

100% Tuition Fee Waiver
Scholarship of 6 000 € (discount on tuition fee)
FULL Scholarship

100% scholarship or 6000 € scholarship are awarded for one academic year and if not able to graduate within that one academic year, you still have an option the same scholarship for the third semester, i.e. a 100% Tuition Fee Waiver or a scholarship of 3000 €. After the third semester, you are required to pay a full tuition fee for every semester your continue your studies.

Full Scholarship - 100% Tuition Fee Waiver + 560 €/month for 10 months during the academic year for living expenses in Finland. All the Master's Programmes are not offering Full Scholarships. An extremely limited number of Full Scholarships offered on the whole LUT level.

The Full Scholarship is awarded for a maximum of one academic year. If you are not able to graduate within one academic year, you can still have a 100% Tuition Fee Waiver for the third semester. After the third semester, you are required to pay a full tuition fee.

Preliminary statements about anybody's possibility for getting a scholarship cannot be given as it all depends on the other applicants as well.

Note: If choosing to let go of your study place in your home university before graduating from LUT University, you will lose your LUT Scholarship.

Intake 2026

The regular fee for the Master's Double Degree studies is 15 000 EUR per academic year. The admitted students (nominated by LUT partners) can be offered the following scholarships:

100% Tuition Fee Waiver
Scholarship of 5 000 € (discount on tuition fee)
FULL Scholarship

100% scholarship or 5000 € scholarship are awarded for one academic year and if not able to graduate within that one academic year, you still have an option the same scholarship for the third semester, i.e. a 100% Tuition Fee Waiver or a scholarship of 2500 €. After the third semester, you are required to pay a full tuition fee for every semester your continue your studies.
