Including studies or other competence to the degree - Sisu
Inclusion can concern
- studies completed outside LUT (not equivalent to any course in LUT)
- custom way of completing studies
The activities are initiated by the student. An application for approval can only be made in the education leading to a degree in a study plan.
Inclusion can be done by
- going to the application via the study draft created in the personal study plan
Credits for inclusion and custom course can both be applied through study draft.
Note! When done through the study draft, the assignment is automatically placed in the place of the study draft in the structure. Applications through study draft is recommended!
Work internships
There are two different types of work internships: compulsory work internship and the part that exceeds the required compulsory work internship. In Sisu work internship is applied as inclusion.
Compulsory work internship is a course in the degree structure and the required credits differ between the degree programmes. These are handled just like any other course except that the credits must be applied according to the instructions given by the degree programme.
If the work internship is completed abroad switch the course in your personal plan to the one having U in the end of the code, that one is for internship abroad.
The work internship exceeding the minimum credits can be placed to for example alternative or elective studies. Maximum credits vary in different degree programmes. For this a study draft is created to the personal study plan and the credits applied simultaneously with delivering the required application documents to the work internship supervisor according to the instructions given by the degree programme.
For work internships there are separate instructions and Sisu instructions.
Including studies completed outside LUT to the degree
Credits applied through study draft are replaced with the grade after acceptance.
