You can include studies completed elsewhere than LUT into your plan as a study draft. To make a study draft click on the level you wish to add your studies in, and then click Add a study draft in the selection assistant.

Note! If you include a minor study completed elsewhere you have to include study module “Minor studies completed in another university” of “Minor studies completed earlier” and add the study draft to that one not directly under Minor studies.

On the pop-up window type in the name of the study, planned workload, planned place of completion and a description. Finally click Add.

Your draft will be visible on your plan. The draft requires an approval from the administrator to be accepted in your plan. To send the draft for a review click on the Study draft text above the course. In the pop-up window click Suggest credit.

In the window titled Replacement, you are asked how you want to replace the study draft. If the study in question is a course completed outside your home university or course completed in LUT and included into another degree select I am applying for an included course credit. If the study draft is competencies gained some other way select I am applying for a custom course credit. Click Continue to move onto an application.

On the application for replacement you can change the location of the study in your plan by clicking Change. You can also edit the name of the draft. Click Continue to move to the next section.

On the second section of the application you are asked to type in the information about the study. click Add information on studies or other prior learning.  If the study in question is a course, select Completed studies. If the study is something else, such as knowledge achieved through work experience, select Other prior learning. After clicking Add, fill in the information about the studies (Name, organization, credits, grade, grading scale, description, date of completion) You can fill in the information from more than one study into the application by clicking Add information on studies or other prior learning.

On the final section you can review your application. When you have made the required selections and checked your application, click Submit application. The administrator will process your application. You will receive a message about the decision into your Sisu messagebox. An approved study will be displayed as a completed course in your plan.

Check the information before submitting the application.

If the inclusion is applied without study draft, it has to be placed to the study plan either from the received message or in the study plan from the left hand side (Add to the plan). In case the application has been done from the study draft it will be placed directly to the study draft in the plan.

Note: A rejected draft will not have a notification in the study plan view, nor will it be automatically removed from the plan. Rejected studies have to be deleted manually.

Custom course credits is based on competence that has no exactly defined studies (courses) in LUT study offering but can be considered as completed studies in to a degree.

The student plans and agrees with the supervising teacher about personal ways to fill some missing content of a degree or study module.

Applying for custom course credit is the same as applying for inclusion but using Request for a custom course credit. This can also be done through the study draft: Other prior learning.

Select planned location and give suggestion to naming of the credits.

Give credit suggestion information.

Check the application and send it.

The summary of the submitted application will be displayed directly and at this stage it is still possible to add attachments or withdraw the application before the application has been processed by the processor.

Application information can also be found in My Profile > Applications and Requests.

Once the application has been processed, a message will be sent to the student via the system approving or rejecting the application.
